Responsibilities

  • Elevate design expression and create best-in-class product designs in the Men’s Tops & Bottoms category with a high level of aesthetic competence.
  • Balance strong creativity with an ability to deliver as a highly influential member of the design team.
  • Work independently, driving design decisions for Snow, Climb, Trail, and lifestyle product inspired by these territories.
  • Lead seasonal research, insights, presentation tools, concepts, design deliverables, and product design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and inspire design ideas with a focus on craftsmanship and excellence.
  • Present design work compellingly to large audiences and provide objective, constructive feedback.
  • Apply an advanced understanding of brand aesthetic, DNA, materials, technologies, fit, and silhouette to meet consumer and business needs.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of outdoor apparel needs, elevated taste, and competitor landscape.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in athletic, outdoor, sportswear, or men’s apparel design.
  • Strong product acumen with working knowledge of apparel product development processes, including design, development, sourcing, and manufacturing.
  • Expertise in apparel construction, flat sketching, and illustrating.
  • Understanding of and ideally active participation in the activities or sports you design for.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite CAD software.
  • 3D software (Clo, Browzwear) and AI image generation (Vizcom, Midjourney) experience is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of creating high-quality, detailed tech packs.
  • Experience with cost engineering and designing to cost.
  • Strong fitting experience and understanding of category silhouette needs for sports.
  • Experience developing performance materials, trims, and color palettes.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills to persuasively present product.
  • Proficient communication with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of product cycles and core deadlines.
  • Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools and problem-solving.

Pay

Hiring range: $96,768.00 USD – $120,960.00 USD annually.

This position is eligible for additional compensation awards, including an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
