About the role

As a Dealer Trade Driver you will transport vehicles between dealerships, deliver vehicles to customers or events, and ensure all documentation, keys, and accessories accompany each trade. The role requires a clean driving record, professional appearance, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Devote yourself to ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Attend company meetings as required.
  • Determine management, production, and quality requirements by asking questions and listening.
  • Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow-through with assigned projects.
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
  • Understand the terminology of the business and keep abreast of technology changes in products and services.
  • Know and understand the federal, state, and local requirements that govern the company’s business.
  • Follow lawful directions from supervisors.
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures.
  • Participate in performance management.
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale.
  • Uphold the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
  • Work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and work ethic.
  • Utilize the appropriate timekeeping system.
  • Arrive for work on time and be ready to operate.
  • Immediately contact the selling store Sales Management if an accident occurs.
  • Ensure the vehicle being traded is clean and undamaged before leaving the lot.
  • Ensure all reference guides, keys, floor mats, wheel locks, etc., accompany all traded vehicles.
  • Adhere to Company Policies, procedures, and established processes.
  • Follow all applicable State and Federal laws and Guidelines regulating our business.
  • Follow all rules of the road, speed limits, and applicable traffic laws.
  • Respond to store requests for transportation needs.
  • Coordinate with the requesting store for delivery times and vehicles.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers or events in a timely manner.
  • Inspect vehicles prior to departure for damage or potential customer service issues.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers with no damage or potential customer service issues.
  • Create and conduct clean, error-free, business transactions in a professional and timely manner in accordance with performance standards.
  • Collect any items needed from the customer and return them to the selling store.
  • Have customers sign any necessary documentation and return it to the selling store.
  • Document miles and time driven on the appropriate forms.
  • Communicate any customer concerns directly with selling store Sales Management.
  • Communicate needs and suggestions for improvement to upper management.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean DMV record.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet the company’s production and quality standards.
  • Positive attitude and teamwork mentality.

Physical Requirements

  • Spend time indoors in air-conditioned areas.
  • Sitting, standing, and walking on a regular basis.
  • Bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and squatting infrequently.
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Infrequent reaching and lifting overhead.
  • Infrequent climbing of stairs.
  • Repetitive hand/finger movement on a regular basis.
  • Grasping/grabbing with hands infrequently.
  • Pushing and pulling.

Pay

The expected pay for this position is $20.00 to $21.00 per hour and may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonuses or commissions.
