About the Library

The Library in Ukrainian House appeared as a response to a simple need – to have Ukrainian books nearby. Many people come to the Netherlands without their favorite publications, and finding literature in their native language is not easy here.

The Library Is Run By Natalia – a Person Who Worked As a Ukrainian Language Teacher For Many Years. She Knows Literature Well And Is Always Happy To Help Find Something Interesting To Read. As Natalia Herself Says “Literature does not exist independently. It is a combination of colors, music, emotions, smells, memories, fantasies, languages, countries, traditions… silence.”

Collection and Goals

The main goal is to popularize the Ukrainian living book, the author of which can be seen, heard, touched. We have books for children and adults, modern novels, translations, classics and educational materials. People bring their books so that others can use them.

How it Works

The library works simply: you come, you choose, you take. We are waiting for everyone who is interested in Ukrainian literature in our reading corner of the Ukrainian House!
