The GradForce Awards – May 2022
What an amazing night! Celebrating the GradForce graduates achieving their Get Hired! completion certificates. To celebrate, we had an Awards evening on 27th May, where the students were treated to a three-course meal, professional headshots to boost their online profiles, and received their certificates.
About the Programme
GradForce is a widening-participation initiative designed to equal the playing field for all students, regardless of their barriers and challenges. The Get Hired! programme includes:
- Self-discovery through tools such as Belbin, Growth Mindset, and GRIT
- An intensive personal development and coaching programme
- Guidance on navigating the recruitment process and professionalism in the workplace
Students who complete the programme in their extracurricular time—alongside academic obligations and other responsibilities—demonstrate the keenness to learn and initiative that employers value.
Next Steps
The journey doesn’t end with completion! GradForce will continue supporting graduates by:
- Assisting with job applications
- Sourcing ring-fenced GradForce jobs to kickstart their graduate careers
- Providing tailored careers advice
- Matching them with mentors
- Offering ongoing encouragement and support
