About the role
The DCU Institute of Future Media, Democracy and Society invites applications for a position within the Institute's research and project coordination teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and delivery of research projects across the Institute's portfolio, including but not limited to EDMO Ireland, EUComMeet, ReMED, COMDEL, Provenance, Jolt, and SCALEDEM.
- Contribute to the planning, execution, and reporting of research activities.
- Assist with project administration, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination of findings.
- Collaborate with academic and non-academic partners nationally and internationally.
- Participate in the Institute's broader research and public engagement activities as required.
Requirements
- A postgraduate degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant discipline such as media studies, political science, sociology, communication, or a related field.
- Demonstrated research experience, preferably in areas related to media, democracy, disinformation, digital technologies, or public deliberation.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of academic publishing or research outputs.
- Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
- Familiarity with the Irish media and policy landscape is an advantage.
- Experience in coordinating or contributing to EU-funded projects is desirable.
