About the role

The DCU Institute of Future Media, Democracy and Society invites applications for a position within the Institute's research and project coordination teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and delivery of research projects across the Institute's portfolio, including but not limited to EDMO Ireland, EUComMeet, ReMED, COMDEL, Provenance, Jolt, and SCALEDEM.
• Contribute to the planning, execution, and reporting of research activities.
• Assist with project administration, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination of findings.
• Collaborate with academic and non-academic partners nationally and internationally.
• Participate in the Institute's broader research and public engagement activities as required.

Requirements

• A postgraduate degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant discipline such as media studies, political science, sociology, communication, or a related field.
• Demonstrated research experience, preferably in areas related to media, democracy, disinformation, digital technologies, or public deliberation.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of academic publishing or research outputs.
• Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
• Familiarity with the Irish media and policy landscape is an advantage.
• Experience in coordinating or contributing to EU-funded projects is desirable.
