Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Leads the execution of fundraising technology strategy for solutions that support the Center's fundraising development goals.
- Stays current with industry standards and emerging technologies to ensure best-in-class systems and processes.
- Systems and Data Management: Oversees the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of CRM platforms and integrated applications.
- Collaborates with the Carter Center's IT team to ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all donor systems remains in line with IT policies.
- Serves as the primary gatekeeper for donor data and system access.
- Ledocumentation of data model structures and maintain up-to-date SOPs for all core development systems.
- Plans and manages data migrations, exports, and appends for fundraising purposes.
- Reporting and Analytics: Develops, deploys, and maintains standard and custom reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support fundraising initiatives and analysis.
- Partners with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Supports fundraising strategy through data selection, extraction, and reporting for daily operations.
- Project Management: Creates and manages comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource assignments, and key dependencies.
- Directs the development of functional specifications, testing methods, and acceptance standards for all system-related projects.
- May assist Director with special projects to make processes more efficient and cost-effective.
Budget Management
- Works with systems vendors on contract renewals and collaborates with Finance and Development staff to monitor budgets and make recommendations to the Director for budget adjustments.
- Liaison and Representation: Serves as point person for Development in matters relating to donor systems.

- Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to align technology products and projects with Development objectives.
Data and Security Compliance
- In collaboration with the Center's IT team, maintains secure system interfaces within Development and with external applications to ensure compliance with data protection standards and organizational policies.
Supervision
- May supervise, orient, and train staff, interns, and temporary contractors.

- Ensures compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.
Professional Development
- Maintains professional growth and development of self and staff by identifying educational/training programs, professional organizations, activities and resources to maintain knowledge of national trends and to promote leading-edge expertise.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of experience with supporting fundraising systems and/or information systems, donor of fundraising records management, database management, or related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP), CRM administration, or data analytics.
- Experience in a nonprofit or fundraising environment.
- Proven experience in fundraising technology, including close collaboration with fundraising teams, process management, report development, and staff training.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in CRM platforms (e.g., Raiser’s Edge NXT), with a focus on enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.
- Working knowledge of data warehouses, data visualization tools, and dashboard development (preferably Power BI).
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Planner, Jira, Asana, Wrike); experience with multiple platforms preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, and familiarity with project/process management methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
