About the role
The Yale School of Medicine offers a comprehensive MD program designed to prepare students for careers in medicine. The program includes various committees and focuses on both academic and clinical aspects.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the MD Admissions Committee to review applications and select candidates for the program.
- Contribute to the EPCC Committee to develop and implement educational policies and curriculum.
- Engage with the Progress Committee to monitor and support student progress throughout their studies.
- Collaborate with the Thesis Chair Committee to ensure the successful completion of thesis requirements.
- Work with the Curriculum Mapping Documents team to maintain and update curriculum materials.
- Attend and participate in regular meetings and workshops related to the MD program.
Requirements
To be considered for the MD program, applicants must have completed undergraduate studies and hold a bachelor's degree. They should also have a strong academic record, relevant work experience, and demonstrate a commitment to improving healthcare access and equity.
Qualifications
Applicants are expected to have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and a competitive MCAT score. They should also possess excellent communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a passion for patient care.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential. Proficiency in English is required, and fluency in Spanish is preferred for international applicants.
