About the role

Outpatient Palliative Medicine position affiliated with a nationally ranked teaching facility. The University of South Florida (USF) and Tampa General Hospital (TGH) invite applications for an experienced Palliative Medicine candidate seeking to practice outpatient Palliative Medicine embedded in TGH Cancer Center, joining another Palliative Medicine Physician. This is a growth opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Practice outpatient Palliative Medicine embedded in TGH Cancer Center
• Participate in multidisciplinary consults
• Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
• Engagement in scholarly activities such as clinical research, quality improvement, and academic presentations is strongly encouraged
• Active involvement in resident and medical student education within USF Health Morsani College of Medicine

Qualifications

• MD or DO Medical Degree
• Eligible to be state licensed in the United States
• United States Residency and/or Fellowship training
• United States Board Eligible or Certified
• Experience in Palliative Medicine (priority given to candidates with this experience)

Practice details

• No inpatient responsibilities
• As part of the academic faculty, the candidate will join another Palliative Medicine Physician
• Supported by a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team
