Benefits:
- Total Gas & Chemical Management (TGCM) Operations group provides our semiconductor manufacturing customers with on site safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of the gases and chemicals needed on a daily basis in the production of electronics materials.
- This service requires operating and maintaining gas and chemical distribution equipment and systems 24/7 without issue or interruption.
- Support the reliable operation and maintenance of liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment.
- Conduct minor inspections and preventive maintenance to optimize gas/chemical equipment performance.
- Perform daily rounds to contribute to site safety and efficiency, including recording readings, monitoring systems, and facilitating gas/chemical container exchanges.
- Develop a deep understanding of liquid bulk delivery procedures to support site-wide safety and quality.
- Facilitate the safe and efficient transfer of bulk gas and chemical trailers.
- Assess situations thoughtfully and collaborate with the team to find solutions when challenges arise.
- Serve as an active contributor to the Emergency Response Team.
- Contribute to customer and Air Liquide community programs, including Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance.
- Partner in the growth of TGCM contractors by offering training support as needed.
- Uphold our collective HS&E Standards to ensure a safe environment for everyone, including PPE and safety programs.
- Contribute to the team’s success by completing assigned tasks according to established procedures.
- Perform minor analytical and sampling procedures to support product quality.
Hazardous Waste Technician (at applicable operations locations):
- Support the safe transfer of materials to the storage area by following established documentation and safety procedures.
- Contribute to emergency preparedness and safe material handling by following our shared safety protocols for spills and container preparation.
- Partner with the team on waste minimization initiatives and maintain a helpful understanding of applicable hazardous waste laws.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or 5+ years of experience
- 1+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment
- Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy, including product acceptance criteria, tank fill, inventory and material usage, monitoring, safety parameters and personnel requirements
- Electro-mechanical aptitude
- Display aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem solving actions
- Able to understand and abide by stringent safety rules
- Demonstrate ability to train junior technicians
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 60 lbs
- Ability to stand/walk up to 11 hours per day
- Ability to operate hydraulic foot pump (55 gallon drums - drums could be up to 500 lbs)
- Job requires constant bending to successfully complete shift tasks (validating information, checking systems, etc.)
- Ability to wear a respirator as part of required PPE for certain job tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the semiconductor or chemical/specialty gas field, military technical/electronic rating or nuclear field, or equivalent industry.
