Tetrapak - B Shift (INTERNAL ONLY) 1

Job Summary

The Tetra Pak Machine Operator position at Materne, North America in Traverse City, MI is responsible for operating machinery and mixing ingredients for high-speed production and food processing lines.

Position Responsibilities

• Operation of Tetra Pak machine – mixing of materials and products
• Load ingredients into Tetra Pak machine according to Materne’s specifications
• Work with computer interface to monitor equipment
• Read schematics and diagrams to monitor machine activity (flow, machine status, temperature settings, level indication)
• Test PH levels, viscosity levels, brix levels, flavor additives using quality devices
• Break down machinery with hand tools to clean and sanitize
• Receive / inspect materials and accept or reject based on Materne’s specifications
• Observe materials to identify contamination or foreign materials
• Detect equipment problems and troubleshoot
• Operate industrial carts, power hand carts, and hi-lo’s
• Inspect product as it moves through manufacturing process for quality
• Complete paperwork and document downtime

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for an entire shift (12 hours)
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Technical / Trade School preferred
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience working in the food industry is a plus
• Must be able to measure and understand tear weight
