Testing Technician

AMETEK Process Instruments is a worldwide manufacturer of process analyzers and instrumentation. We focus our experience on designing new, innovative analyzers that help our customers achieve higher levels of productivity and quality. As the Testing Technician, you will become the process owner for instrument calibration and quality output, cross-training others as required, and working cross-functionally to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on calibration and troubleshooting of instruments to ensure forward production flow across the entire product line.
• Independently coordinate and prioritize instruments for calibration or troubleshooting based on open sales orders and production schedules.
• Manage workflow for 2 products in conjunction with the production schedule.
• Cross-train additional technician resources as needed.
• Document calibration results and maintain process ownership for instrument calibration and quality output.
• Provide timely and accurate feedback to Manufacturing Engineering and Sustaining Engineering groups for analysis and trend identification.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve issues that may arise.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with experience calibrating complex products and sub-assemblies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to read and follow assembly and test procedures.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective cross-functional communication skills.
• Familiarity with yield and parametric data collection and presentation.

Pay

Salary range: $40,000 – $70,000 USD per year (hourly). The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market/business considerations, and geographic location.
