Teachers generally work from mid-July (beginning with professional development before students arrive) through late May. Workdays are generally 7:10 AM - 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday. Mondays extend to 4:30 PM and include mandatory Professional Development time. Anticipated school hours and days vary annually based on changes to the school calendar. Position Title: Testing Proctor Position Information Department: Student SupportsReports to: Student Support CoordinatorWork Schedule: 10-month (mid/late July - mid/late May)Employment Type: Full time, ExemptLocation: Harvey, LA Position Summary At Jefferson RISE, assessments are a critical part of measuring and driving student achievement. The Testing Proctor ensures all assessments are administered with integrity, consistency, and attention to detail. This role is responsible for creating a calm, structured testing environment while supporting students in following all testing procedures and accommodations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to execute systems with precision in a fast-paced school environment. Key Responsibilities Assessment Administration Administer state tests, unit exams, quizzes, and make-up assessments in alignment with school protocolsClearly communicate testing procedures and expectations to studentsMonitor testing environments to ensure compliance, focus, and academic integrityDocument and report any testing irregularities Preparation & Logistics Prepare all testing materials and technology in advance (e.g., devices, accommodations, platforms)Ensure assessments are properly set up in testing systemsCoordinate student attendance for testing sessions, including accommodations and make-upsTroubleshoot basic technology issues during testing Systems & Compliance Maintain accurate records of testing sessions and student participationFollow all school and state testing policies and procedures with fidelityCommunicate proactively with the Assessment Coordinator regarding needs or issues CANDIDATE PROFILE Qualifications Bachelors Degreee preferred, not requiredHigh School Diploma requiredStrong attention to detail and ability to follow systems with precisionOrganized and able to manage multiple tasks and timelinesClear communicator who can give directions and maintain a calm environmentComfortable troubleshooting basic technology issuesReliable, punctual, and professionalCommitted to upholding testing integrity and supporting student success Culture Fit Belief in the mission and students of Jefferson RISEMaintains a calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressureTakes ownership and follows through on responsibilitiesTeam-oriented and flexible in supporting school needs Compensation Jefferson RISE offers competitive compensation tied to performance and qualifications. We do not follow a traditional salary schedule - annual salaries reflect the outcomes teachers drive and the value they bring to students and the school. Annual Salary Ranges: $35,000 - $50,000 starting salary depending on degree level, certification, content, previous student outcomes, and experienceAdditional Stipends Available: Employees may be eligible for stipends or supplemental compensation for approved responsibilities that extend beyond the regular duties of their position. Examples may include athletic coaching, club sponsorship, leadership, special projects, additional workdays, extended hours, or other assigned duties. Eligibility and amounts are determined by the school and may vary from year to year.Raises and Bonuses: We believe exceptional performance should be recognized. Employees may be eligible for performance-based raises and bonuses.
