Tester Operator

About the role

Operates, tests, and monitors assigned equipment to ensure the quality and functionality of products.

Schedule

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

  • Perform various tests, analyze results, and identify any defects or issues.
  • Observe and conduct operation of equipment and document maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot control panels, error lights, and messages to ensure proper equipment function.
  • Consistently meet or surpass daily production and quality goals.
  • Verify equipment data for reporting.
  • Interpret, follow, and execute testing procedures accurately.
  • Communicate with equipment technicians relating to more complex issues.
  • Maintain satisfactory Quality performance levels.
  • Data entry to CTDI systems via PC and RF handheld devices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
  • Follow warehouse safety regulations.
  • Perform all other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on capability to troubleshoot technical problems as necessary.
  • Ability to gather, document, and input data.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer ability.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair), or forward logistics operation.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Time-management skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary.
  • Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary.
  • Ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary.
