Tester II

About the role

We have an immediate opening for a 1st Shift Tester II Technician to join our diverse team in Easley, SC. The role involves testing and adjusting valves using a hydraulic test stand in accordance with detailed engineering specifications. Responsibilities

• Installing and removing test fittings
• Installing orifices and/or plugs after testing
• Loading and unloading valves from test fixtures
• Transporting valves to paint lines
• Retrieving testing instructions from computers
• Operating a hydraulic test stand
• Maintaining minimum production levels
• Ensuring a safe, clean work area by preventing oil spills from being on the floor
• Notifying the supervisor of any shortages in testing supplies
• Understanding and following instructions from engineering blueprints, routing documents, work instructions, and Engineering Test Orders
• Using pneumatic torque tools
• Utilizing pressure, flow, leakage, time, torque, and length gauges
• Analyzing defective valves and repairing them to meet specified standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Basic proficiency in math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, is essential
• Ability to read and write clearly and accurately
• Capability to stand for extended periods during work
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Strong motor skills are necessary, along with the capacity to perform tasks while wearing safety equipment
