Test Technician L1
Under direct supervision, the Vehicle Test Technician will support engineering efforts by performing routine vehicle maintenance, setting up and executing dynamometer tests, and compiling test documentation. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance to prepare for testing.
- Set up and conduct driving tests on a dynamometer.
- Assemble and submit documentation packets from testing.
- Conduct routine tests and follow standard test modes.
- Use mechanical and fabrication tools appropriately.
- Perform minor/light fabrication and change vehicle part assemblies.
- Learn and consistently apply proper testing procedures.
- Work under direct supervision while managing daily tasks.
Skills
- Automotive Technician experience.
- Mechanical assembly skills.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Vehicle maintenance expertise.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
- Comfort using computers for equipment control and report assembly.
- Ability to consistently execute driving tests.

Qualifications
- Vocational certificate or Associate’s Degree in a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on vehicle experience (qualifies for higher end of pay range).
- Experience with dynamometer testing (beneficial but not required).
- Light fabrication skills and mechanical aptitude.
Work Environment
The work environment involves hands-on tasks that require the use of mechanical and fabrication tools. The role includes setting up and executing tests using a dynamometer. The technician will work under direct supervision and should be comfortable using computers for equipment control and report assembly.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
