Test Technician III - Temp to Hire - Construction / Power Tools

About the Role

The Test Technician III will assist in testing products, setting up equipment/test fixtures, and maintaining organization and cleanliness of the establishment. This role involves working with a team to verify conformance to industry and regulatory safety standards, preparing written test reports, participating in product demos and line reviews, and supporting the Category and Sourcing team with product decisions. The Test Technician III will learn to properly utilize all test equipment in the lab, start and complete test reports, and execute all stages of product testing and qualification using documented test methods.

Responsibilities

• Product Qualification and Testing, including practical usage of tools and simulated usage on test fixtures.
• Assist in using and setting up test equipment.
• Monitor and test samples.
• Assist Product Specialist in testing and building fixtures.
• Become autonomous in testing and fixture building for assigned tasks.
• Work with electronic testing equipment, small motor dynamometer, environmental chambers, hardness tester, and general hand tools.
• Conduct written test reports from beginning to completion using a web-based software program (Platypus).
• Participate in the analytical review of new or revised parts, materials, and products, including Pareto charts and Excel graphs.
• Prepare for product reviews, including setup of product, customer web reviews, and a 1-pager of sales and returns data.
• Maintain and clean the lab.
• Occasional overtime required.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Pay

The anticipated range for this position is $29.00 per hour, depending on location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
