Responsibilities
- Perform environmental testing of aerospace mechanisms using established procedures. Tests include static load, thermal vacuum, benchtop operation, separation, shock, and vibration
- Inspect mechanical and electrical components after test completion to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications
- Assist with non-conformance investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Utilize common aerospace assembly and inspection tools such as torque wrenches, load cells, feeler gauges, calipers, and multimeters
- Assist in writing technical work instructions related to Environmental Testing, ensuring clarity and comprehensibility for all team members
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the aerospace or engineering industry
- Familiarity with common aerospace assembly and inspection tools, including but not limited to torque wrenches, load cells, feeler gauges, calipers, and multimeters
- Proven experience assisting with writing technical work instructions related to Environmental Testing (preferred)
- Experience working in an Aerospace cleanroom environment is preferred
- Understanding of advanced electronic circuitry
- Experience using electronics equipment (e.g. DMMs, power supplies, DAQs, etc.)
