Test Technician

What Will You Do?

  • Perform tests and troubleshoot performance, leaks and aesthetics of all Spencer blower and vacuum products.
  • Maintain documentation as per established quality standards and engineering test specification.
  • Perform trim balance.
  • Work with a variety of calibrated gauges not limited to vibration meters, temperature probes, volt, and amp meters.
  • Set up and break down of test fixtures using hoists, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
  • Work with variable frequency drives.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require

  • Standing, and bending for long periods of time
  • Reading or reviewing documents on a computer
  • Walking throughout the production floor

Your Experience Should Be

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Two years or more working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to read engineering documentation (drawings, test specification)
  • A strong mechanical aptitude
  • The ability to use a variety of hand tools
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • The ability to be familiar with the operation and connection of low to medium three phase motors

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED, two years or more working in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to read engineering documentation (drawings, test specification), a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to use a variety of hand tools, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to be familiar with the operation and connection of low to medium three phase motors.
