About the role
The Centurion, an Atwell Company, is seeking a Junior Field Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers opportunities to test, inspect, and commission electrical equipment and systems in various locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual/mechanical inspections and electrical testing on standard equipment and circuits, including meter calibrations, electromechanical and solid-state protective relays, and power quality/load monitoring.
- Assist Project Managers with scheduling, budgeting, and billing; initiate Change Order Requests when work exceeds scope.
- Oversee upkeep, calibration, and readiness of electrical test equipment; direct staging of tools/materials for efficient execution.
- Communicate and report issues and test failures to clients, recommend corrective actions, and review final test reports and data sheets for submittal.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-5+ years of relevant electrical field experience.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and comply with random testing per client requirements.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- NETA certification is highly preferred.
- Clear, professional communication with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently in the field while coaching others.
