About the role
A skilled Test Technician to perform mechanical, electrical, and fatigue testing on medical device products.
Responsibilities
- Execute laboratory test plans to verify product performance against specifications.
- Document, analyze, and communicate test results to engineering teams.
- Support test method validation, equipment qualification, and software validation activities.
- Develop and document testing procedures and methods.
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain laboratory test equipment.
- Assemble test fixtures, production equipment, and prototypes from engineering designs.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment issues.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and interpret schematics and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate technical records and support quality verification and process improvements.
- Provide guidance to entry-level technicians as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years of technician experience or equivalent hands-on skills.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience operating laboratory and testing equipment, reading engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Science or related field, with laboratory or product testing experience.
- Knowledge of scientific testing methods, fixture building, and familiarity with testing systems like Instron or MTS.
- Experience with testing software such as Instron Bluehill, MTS/TestWorks, and Microsoft Office.
- Skills in microscopy, X-ray inspection, and interpreting test data for product validation.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
