Join our Menomonee Falls, WI team as a Test Technician 2, performing standard testing processes on high power equipment and recording results while providing technical support to engineers and manufacturing.

About the Role

This position involves working on first shift (7am-3:30pm) Monday through Friday, with flexible start times. You will support complex components, devices, and equipment through testing and technical assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and sketches to run test set-ups of significant complexity
  • Interpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and test procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations
  • Interface with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materials
  • Lead a team to meet production deadlines and ensure quality of finished product (pass/fail rates)
  • Diagnose cause of electrical, optical, mechanical malfunction, or failure of operational equipment
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Modify a variety of complex electrical prototypes in accordance with engineering instructions
  • Support Engineering while utilizing industry best practices, including creating test fixtures, test set-ups, and evaluations of product and/or fixtures
  • Conduct developmental tests while ensuring safety of yourself and your team

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience and an associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience in the field
  • Experience working with high power and medium voltage equipment
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience handling small delicate components using ESD practices
  • Proficiency in various computer applications, specifically the Microsoft suite
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Soldering and wire bonding experience is a plus
  • Experience with MRP is a plus
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a DOD security clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment

Physical Requirements

  • Normal manual dexterity, speech, and hearing
  • Frequent use of a computer monitor
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand for up to 9 hours a day
  • Walking, lifting, bending, stooping, and kneeling
