Test Support Technician - Mid to Senior Level

About the role

MAG Aerospace has an opportunity for a Test Support Technician in the Aviation Security Technology Industry. The Test Support Technician supports developmental test and evaluation tasks, including test set-up, execution, and data collection at the TSA System Integration Facility in Arlington Virginia. Supported activities include observation of corrective & preventive maintenance; installations, removals, and relocations; upgrades; and deliveries. This role does not support remote work.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate system logs of all activity
• Observing Site Acceptance Tests, System Installations, Movement & Decommissioning
• Escorting visitors and vendors
• Test Equipment Setup
• Data Collection

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA suitability clearance
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Prior experience as a DHS/TSA Transportation Security Officer
• Minimum of 4‑6 years of related experience as a DHS/TSO Transportation Security Officer
• Education: HS diploma/GED, AA/AS, or 2‑year Technical School Certificate in Information Technology
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods; must be able to lift fifty pounds

Pay

Salary is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract‑specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $25 to $35 per hour (USD). This range represents the typical salary for the role and is one component of MAG's total compensation package.
