Initial Posting Date 07/16/2026 Application Deadline 08/02/2026 Agency Department of Justice Salary Range $6,182 - $9,361 Position Type Employee Position Title Test Script and Configuration Management Analyst (Information Systems Specialist 6) Job Description The Oregon Department of Justice, Information Services Section, is hiring a Test Script and Configuration Management Analyst (Information Services Specialist 6) to support the Legal Tools Program. This position ensures the integrity, consistency, and the traceability of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts to user stories, system configurations, and release artifacts across the Legal Tools Program project lifecycle. Serving as the technologist for configurations, this role manages versions, change documentations and works with system administrators on environment stability, auditability, and project requirements. You will work closely with project managers, business analysts, cyber operations, testers, and solution implementation vendor team members. This position will work through configuration standards, support test readiness, test script development, and enable reliable delivery of the solution. This position functions both as a technical control quality checkpoint and as a facilitator with the Product Owner in ensuring that changes are introduced in a controlled, transparent, and repeatable manner. This position is Limited Duration through June 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension based on agency needs. Primary Job Duties (In Part) Coordinate and communicate, as the UAT test script creation expert, test script work in collaboration with Business Analysts, end users, and project team members to meet the needs of the project.Work with business stakeholders on UAT test scripts as artifacts that validate requirements throughout the system lifecycle of the project.Facilitate clear communication between Business Analysts, end users, and project team to ensure UAT test scripts accurately reflect project needs.Develop, manage, and maintain UAT test scripts to validate requirements of product delivery as part of UAT.Prepare and manage data required for UAT execution, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and alignment with project needs.Ensure team members are informed about configuration changes and environment readiness.Mange configuration baselines to maintain system integrity across its lifecycle.Support environment consistency and data alignment to enable reliable testing, deployment, and auditability.Other duties as assigned. Five (5) years of experience in information systems. Education will be counted as experience if degree is in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or if a two (2) year accredited vocational training program was completed in information technology or related field. Associate’s Degree (or 2-year vocational training) = Two (2) YearsBachelor's Degree = Four (4) YearsMaster's Degree = Six (6) Years AND Comprehensive knowledge, and experience in translating business requirements into effective user-focused tests and leading user acceptance testing.Finalists must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint-based criminal background check. A driver history check will be included for positions requiring state vehicle driving privileges. Adverse findings will be evaluated to determine eligibility for the position.Must agree to comply with DOJ security and confidentiality requirements. Our Ideal Candidate Will Have Demonstrated expertise in system configuration management, including version control, environment automation, and governance of complex system configurations.Skilled in using Microsoft's Power Platform.Proven ability to develop comprehensive test plans and lead test execution across large‑scale, multi‑component systems.Advanced skill in requirements validation, including stakeholder analysis, traceability, and ensuring alignment between business needs and system functionality.Advanced skill in user acceptance test planning and script development that mimics real-world user workflows.Demonstrates empathy by stepping out of one's own cognitive biases to understand distinct user frustrations and cultural behaviors.Ability to Translate dense technical information into clear, compelling narratives for end-users.Skilled in managing competing priorities and coordinating tasks among cross-functional staff (tech and business).
