Description

General Responsibilities: Florence-Darlington Technical College (Corporate & Workforce Development Division) seeks a reliable, detail-oriented individual to serve as a Part-Time Test Proctor for National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exams. The proctor will ensure secure, professional, and supportive testing environment, maintaining compliance with NHA and college policies.

Job Functions

• Administer NHA certification exams (online and/or paper-based) according to established protocols.
• Verify candidate identification and eligibility prior to testing.
• Provide clear instructions to candidates regarding exam procedures and rules.
• Monitor the testing environment to ensure academic integrity and prevent misconduct.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all testing materials.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues with exam software/equipment and escalate when necessary.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or candidate concerns.
• Set up and break down testing rooms, ensuring readiness for each exam session.

Typical Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain fairness, neutrality, and confidentiality.
• Comfortable using computers, web-based testing platforms, and basic troubleshooting.
• Prior experience in test administration, education or healthcare training preferred but not required.

Supplemental Information

• Anticipated Work Hours: Part-time, as scheduled by exam demand (typically weekdays, occasional evenings/weekends).
• Working Conditions: Position requires sitting and observing quietly for extended periods; may involve light lifting and room setup of testing equipment/materials.
