About the role

The State of Illinois is seeking an Information Services Specialist I - Opt MCM. This position is open competitive and requires a review of your minimum qualifications and the completion of a Supplemental Questionnaire form to determine your final grade.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain information systems infrastructure
• Support the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
• Provide technical support to end-users
• Conduct system audits and security assessments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT services

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of professional-level information technology work experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications

• Completion of a bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience with network administration and management
• Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)

Skills

• Proficient in Windows Server and Active Directory
• Experience with SQL databases
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
