About the role

As a Test Engineering Intern at Electric Power Systems (EPS), you'll work alongside experienced engineers in our testing laboratory, supporting the development and validation of cutting-edge battery systems. From setting up and executing tests to analyzing performance data and documenting results, you'll gain hands-on experience with real engineering projects that have a direct impact on the products we build.

This is an excellent opportunity to apply what you've learned in the classroom while developing technical skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll assist with testing battery modules, battery packs, and related electrical and mechanical systems, help collect and analyze test data, prepare reports and documentation, support troubleshooting efforts, and participate in design reviews and cross-functional engineering discussions.

Along the way, you'll learn about industry testing standards, product qualification, laboratory best practices, and continuous improvement processes. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, pays attention to the details, and isn't afraid to ask questions.

This position operates within an ITAR-compliant environment. Access to certain information associated with this role may require applicants to qualify as a U.S. Person under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

  • Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

Skills

  • Experience with engineering tools such as Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or CAD software like SolidWorks is a plus, but not required.
  • Willingness to learn, technical curiosity, and enthusiasm for engineering challenges.
  • Interest in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or electrified transportation.

Benefits

  • Gain meaningful, hands-on engineering experience on real products.
  • Work alongside talented engineers in a collaborative environment.
  • Build technical skills that will prepare you for your engineering career.
  • Be part of a company that's advancing the future of energy storage and electrified transportation.

Schedule

This position is designed to continue throughout the year, offering flexibility to accommodate students' academic schedules.
