Test Engineer (Teradyne, North Reading, MA)

About the role

Teradyne is currently looking for a Test Engineering opportunity in the New Products Introduction department. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who loves to be in a dynamic environment, spends a lot of time in a lab and collaborates in a cross‑functional team (previous experience as a Test Engineer is required). The ideal candidate will add experience in Automated Test Equipment manufacturing that includes a mix of digital, analog, and RF circuitry, and will lead the internal NPI operation from planning, execution to transfer.

Responsibilities

• Debug complex semiconductor test equipment from the system level down to the PCBA component level.
• Investigate and resolve Pilot Production test issues and defect analysis.
• Execute test at PCBA module and System level.
• Analyze test log files.
• Generate and present reports showing detailed test information.
• Ability to problem solve through creative and analytical thinking.
• Perform SW qualification plans and report bugs that could impact performance.
• Lead Contract Manufacturer and Repair Center transfer readiness plan.
• Train and support test engineers and technicians overseas on test execution and debug tools to facilitate production ramp‑up.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or electronics.
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience as a Test Engineer.
• Ability for domestic or international travel.
