Test Engineer - Junior

About the role

The National Security Sector at Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer to join their Test and Training Team to support the Integrated Base Defense – Sustainment Support (IBD-SS) contract with operations located at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Responsibilities

• Defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components
• Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors
• Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
• Provides technical support, testing, and advice to other engineering groups
• Aids in answering questions from the Customer and FSRs, logs calls and solutions in COLTS
• Reviews and updates curriculum to support multiple facets of the force protection system training program
• On occasion, may travel to other CONUS or OCONUS locations to assist in unit training and site survey development for IBD-SS Systems

Requirements

• AA/AS + 3-5 years of experience (6 years in lieu of a degree)
• US Secret security clearance required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prioritization and time management skills
• Expertise using Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high-quality environment
• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail

SkillsExpertise using Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint

Familiarity with Jira
