Test Engineer II, Secret Clearance

Location: Littleton, CO. This position does not support teleworking; you will work full-time in the office on a flexible 9x80 schedule.

About the role

In this role, you will support the LE2 program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test, and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy’s Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program.
• Mentor junior engineers, interface extensively with customers, and engage with senior leadership.
• Create and update project/process documentation aligned to project requirements.
• Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test, and verification of automated test systems, including data review and trending.
• Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.
• Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal design teams to provide cost-effective and low-risk solutions.
• Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal teams, vendors, and customers.
• Apply experience in programming languages relevant for quick-turn applications (e.g., LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C#).
• Support Failure Review Board activities through closure as required.
• Travel and work at alternate work sites as required (less than 25%).

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional experience.
• Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (US citizenship required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college, a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Hardware development experience.
• Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or similar systems.
• Experience in one or more of the following: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, PSPICE.
• Experience in one or more of the following: LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C#.

• Experience leading project teams and development efforts.
• Experience with the product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement).

• Ability to work autonomously and drive items to closure.
• Capability to lead a team responsible for the development and test of integrated test systems, including experience as a Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate small, diverse teams in the development of technical products.
• Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in AI prompting as it applies to this position.

For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) for incidental absences and other reasons, plus at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of vacation per month, up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Pay

Full-time salary range: $79,300 – $147,300. The salary offered considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market/location/business considerations.
