Test Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Aid in the creation and execution of test plans and procedures.
• Perform basic testing and validation of components and systems/sub-systems.
• Record and analyze test data, generating initial reports on test results.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure test requirements are understood and met.
• Maintain test equipment and ensure its proper calibration and functionality.
• Participate in internal and external meetings and briefings.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Have 0-2 years of experience in test engineering or a related role.
• Understand requirements, testing principles, and methodologies.
• Have conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Be familiar with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Have exposure to planning, conducting, and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Prior internship or project experience in aerospace or defense industry preferred.
• Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies, including manual and automated testing.
• Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports to demonstrate compliance to system requirements.
• Knowledge of reading schematics, using service manuals, following test procedures, and using logical troubleshooting techniques.

Essential Functions

• Work on a computer for extended periods.
• Lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Occasionally travel.
• Work in an office, lab, hangar, or offsite environment.

Pay

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $71,338.47 - $98,090.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, including candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
