Test Engineer - Day Shift
About the role
Test Engineer: Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development and manufacturing. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Survey Tip: For those companies in the Medical Devices Industry, the position must ensure that programs are in compliance with standards for good laboratory practices (GLP), good manufacturing practices (GMP) and/or good clinical practices (GCP). May be responsible for setting the parameters and testing customer samples.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development and manufacturing.
- Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
- Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
- Ensures compliance with standards for good laboratory practices (GLP), good manufacturing practices (GMP) and/or good clinical practices (GCP) in the Medical Devices Industry.
- Makes sure customer samples are tested according to set parameters.
Requirements
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Experience with medical devices is preferred but not required. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $75,000 per year.
