Test Engineer Controls

Responsibilities

• Define and implement physical and virtual software validation methods.
• Integrate plant models with controller software source code.
• Develop and maintain virtual test environments and simulation-based test cases.
• Execute HIL testing, generate reports, and troubleshoot test environments.
• Collaborate with ADAS feature and systems engineers to resolve software issues.
• Support HIL, DIL, and VIL simulation activities.
• Cookordinate software component delivery from internal and supplier teams.
• Develop and support automation for software builds, testing, data analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of HIL development and test execution experience.
• 2+ years of experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with test automation tools and software validation processes.
• Hands-on experience with embedded software testing.
• Experience deploying software to external target ECUs.
• Ability to execute HIL tests, generate reports, and troubleshoot test environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related engineering discipline (preferred).
• Experience with dSPACE tools (ControlDesk, ConfigDesk) (preferred).
• Familiarity with ECU-Test, Embedded Tester, and Vector toolsets (preferred).
• Experience with Git or other source control systems (preferred).
• Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions (preferred).
• Knowledge of automotive CAN networks (preferred).
• Experience developing plant and controller models for braking, steering, or suspension systems (preferred).
• Experience with vehicle dynamics modeling tools such as CarSim or CarMaker (preferred).
