Test Engineer-Aurora

About the role
The Aurora Test Engineer designs, develops, integrates, and maintains test strategies, plans, and procedures for system-level testing of the Aurora manufacturing process. This role involves the development, verification, and validation of performance information.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, and debug test software to meet parametric measurement, functional test, and throughput requirements.
- Design, develop, integrate, and debug loadboxes, fixtures, cables, and test bays to meet product test requirements.
- Participate on product and/or process problem-solving teams.
- Support and facilitate process, procedure, and cultural changes aimed at improving quality and productivity.
- Monitor and improve both internal and external product quality.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve test system yield and test time performance.
- Schedule, manage, and communicate multiple project activities among team members to ensure on-time completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- General knowledge of testing processes within the electronics field.
- Basic programming knowledge and exposure to C and C#.
- Understanding of measurement systems.
- Understanding of both digital and analog circuits.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis and problem solve.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
- Basic knowledge of methods and tools in automotive development, such as Ethernet, CAN, UDP, and TCP/IP.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; AUMOVIO will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this position.

Physical Requirements
- Must wear company-provided ESD safety-toed shoes, smock, and other PPE in required areas.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods, reaching, and using hands/fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Additional Ways to Stand Out
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent degree in computer science, IT, electronics, or electrical engineering.
- 2+ years of testing experience within the electronics field.
- Strong programming knowledge and proficiency in C and C#.
- Experience transforming R&D functions from Python/C++/Matlab into more efficient and high-performance production processes.
