Test Engineer

About the role

A test engineer is responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing tests to ensure the quality and reliability of products. This includes creating test plans, executing tests, documenting findings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute test plans and scripts
• Perform software testing including unit, integration, system, and regression testing
• Identify and document defects using an issue tracking system
• Work closely with development teams to resolve issues and improve product quality
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through process enhancements and tool adoption

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in software testing or related field
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools
• Experience with automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Basic understanding of security testing principles
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, etc.
