Test Engineer, Amazon Devices Reverse Logistics

Key job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate end-to-end test sequences for customer return screening, repair verification, and refurbishment quality assurance
• Write and maintain automated test scripts and diagnostic software for Amazon Device products
• Create and maintain test coverage documents (TCDs) for NPI and sustaining programs
• Design, build, and deploy test fixtures, jigs, and diagnostic tooling to support testing
• Execute hands-on testing, root cause analysis, and failure characterization
• Debug and troubleshoot test fixture issues to minimize downtime at repair sites
• Own test readiness deliverables for new product introductions within Reverse Logistics

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of consumer electronics experience
• Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware, or experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems
• Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
• Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technical support, or experience in Linux and Networking protocols and experience in networking administration and troubleshooting
• Experience scripting or coding
• Experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or process improvement roles
• Experience working with and managing third party vendors
