About the Opportunity

The Test Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining automated testing solutions that ensure software quality and reliability. This position plays a critical role in defining test strategies, executing complex test scenarios, and supporting system integration and validation efforts. The role directly impacts product quality by improving testing practices, expanding automation coverage, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance defect prevention and testing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define automation testing strategies and plans aligned with enterprise goals.
• Design, implement, and maintain UI, API, and integration test automation frameworks.
• Create, document, execute, and analyze complex test scenarios, including edge cases.
• Participate in system integration and validation activities to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain quality control standards, including reliability and regression testing.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry and organizational testing standards.
• Identify and implement improvements in test coverage, tooling, test environments, and processes.
• Provide feedback and recommendations based on test results and defect trends.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve testability and defect prevention.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding testing approaches and tools.
• Work independently on advanced technical projects with defined objectives.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring and contributions to shared testing frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience building automated tests using TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
• Expertise with front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Angular, including UI testing.
• Proficiency with modern testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Experience testing backend services and microservices, including Spring Boot.
• Experience with container-based integration testing and repeatable test environments.
• Ability to design maintainable automation frameworks using sound software engineering practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and defect isolation skills across multiple application layers.
• Ability to improve quality processes and drive adoption of testing standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing workflows.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance, including applicable residency requirements.
