About the role

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure software quality and meet project deadlines. You will work closely with development teams to understand requirements and develop test cases that cover various scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, etc.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and libraries
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers
  • Perform code reviews and provide feedback to improve test automation processes
  • Document test plans, procedures, and results
  • Participate in code refactoring and optimization efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in software testing or automation
  • Experience with at least one automation tool such as Selenium, JUnit, etc.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, etc.
  • Knowledge of database technologies and SQL
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) systems
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools
