Responsibilities

• Design and tune PID and advanced controllers for physical system deployment
• Develop plant models from first principles and validate against empirical data
• Implement and verify control algorithms in Python using open source toolkits
• Document engineering decisions and control strategies with clear communication
• Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate remotely with interdisciplinary contributors while maintaining autonomy
• Engage in effective verbal discussions as required for project success

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Control, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field
• Over 5 years of hands-on controller design experience post-degree
• Proficiency in building physical plant models using first principles
• Experience delivering classical (PID) and modern control methods on real hardware
• Fluency in Python for control code development and debugging
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong experience with real system deployment and control strategy iteration

Pay

$30 - $50/hour

Remote, 10‑40 hours/week
