Test and Validation Technician

About the role

As a Validation Lab Technician, reporting to the Head of AC Testing – NA, you will conduct performance and durability testing of automotive HVAC and engine cooling components. You will work with engineers to understand test requirements and maintain a clean work area. This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up HVAC systems and components for testing
• Diagnose refrigeration systems
• Install instrumentation for temperature, pressure, and flow
• Interface with test systems and execute testing procedures
• Interpret test data and report issues
• Troubleshoot and repair test equipment
• Cross-train across test lab areas
• Install and remove test parts
• Collect data

Qualifications

• AAS in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent
• 3-5 years of automotive experience preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• EPA 608 certification preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal skills
• Ability to apply high school math concepts
• Problem-solving and data analysis skills

Pay

Compensation range: $50,000 - $70,000
