About the role
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful deployment, testing, and commissioning of advanced signaling systems, driving safety and efficiency in rail transportation. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, quality assurance, and environmental health and safety), prepare and execute tests, analyze logs, and ensure compliance with system specifications and contractual requirements, and much more.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring ITC activities are carried out correctly and on time, according to the plan, Alstom standards, and documentation.
- Deploying and ensuring the application of Installation, Testing, and Commissioning (ITC) processes by the ITC team within the project.
- Executing Field Modification Instructions (FMI) on-site as per engineering instructions.
- Preparing and executing tests, logging analysis, and creating test reports.
- Checking compliance of signaling systems with system specification documents and contractual requirements.
- Managing tools and ensuring accurate calibration.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or other related field (or equivalent education/experience).
- Experience or understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of testing and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with Installation, Testing, and Commissioning (ITC) processes.
- A valid Driver’s License and strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance.
- Strong analytical skills for log analysis and test reporting.
- Ability to manage tools and ensure accurate calibration.
- Proficiency in documenting and reporting non-conformities and test results.
- Adaptability to work 3rd shift (10 PM–6 AM) and commitment to continuous learning.
