Test and Balance Technician

The Test and Balance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, in addition to certified testing, correcting, and balancing specialized heating, cooling of ventilation systems of large local commercial areas.

  • Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot a wide variety of air handling systems, exhaust systems, ductwork, and fluid flow equipment associated with commercial and industrial HVAC applications.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance and service requests.
  • Review and analyze data for reporting.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Interest and ability to join local union.

Education

A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of previous Test and Balance experience required.

Ability to understand HVAC systems and HVAC control systems.

Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and Visio.

Benefits and Compensation

The range for this position has been established at $19.87 to $31.79 hourly and is U.S. Engineering Service’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
