Responsible for maintaining and growing a group of customers (accounts) within a specified market area. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs while helping customers maximize existing services and increasing revenue by introducing new products or services.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of sales and marketing plans to drive customer acquisitions and achieve revenue and profit goals.
- Work with subject matter experts to understand all aspects of Casella products and enhance selling opportunities.
- Increase services to existing customers and develop a fully functioning account retention program in the defined territory.
- Plan and implement an internal growth strategy, including price increases.
- Recognize and solve problems, developing quality cross-selling solutions with key team members.
- Maintain strong relationships with drivers, operations, customers, and customer service representatives to ensure safe service procedures.
- Understand and utilize company pricing and profitability models; prepare and submit administrative paperwork for customer setup and account changes.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 to set and communicate monthly goals, track accomplishments, and implement effective time management.
- Develop tasks and activities supporting personal and company goals; communicate results to local management monthly.
- Attend divisional and regional sales meetings for training and networking opportunities.
- Participate in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services.
- Perform other duties to help drive the company’s vision, fulfill its mission, and abide by core values.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience.
- Experience or interest in an environmental or sustainability field.
- Relevant sales certifications.
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel 80% of the time within a defined territory, including periodic overnight travel for regional training.
- Strong interpersonal, strategic selling, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in collaborative environments.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.

Pay
Total targeted compensation (base plus commission): $80,000–$90,000.
