Territory Sales Manager-Turf and Ornamental-Midwest-REMOTE
About the Role
The Turf & Ornamental (T & O) Territory Sales Manager will provide agronomic support, maintain and develop customer relationships, and manage sales within the designated Midwest territory (IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, MO, KS, KY, OH, WI). This position works with approved distributors on training, education, product knowledge, and daily business objectives, while also driving growth in the T&O business.
Responsibilities
- Provide T&O support to established customers and generate new business through regular or prospective customer calls.
- Manage pricing, marketing, and budgets within the designated territory.
- Collaborate with approved distributors and sales representatives to promote BRANDT product lines to existing and potential end users.
- Assist distributors with marketing materials, product events, and promotion of BRANDT brands.
- Attend, set up, or initiate group sales events, including open houses, lunch and learns, state/regional/national events.
- Present BRANDT products and services to new distributors within the assigned territory.
- Develop and provide programs and information tailored to end users in the Turf and Ornamental industry.
- Address customer questions regarding products, sales, and research information.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, peers, and suppliers.
- Analyze and resolve customer issues while understanding and meeting their goals and expectations.
- Prepare and submit reports to management regarding sales objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, agronomy, or a related field.
- Two to five plus years of experience in an agricultural area, with a focus on turf and ornamental sales or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of the Turf and Ornamental industry, particularly in plant nutrition.
- Mathematical skills to convert and read labels, calculate rates, and perform related tasks.
- Intermediate computer and software skills (e.g., Excel, Word).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
This role operates primarily within the designated Midwest territory, working at customer and distributor locations. The position may require outdoor work or time in a professional office setting.
Travel
Up to 75% travel within the designated territory is required.
Schedule
Full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are based on the needs of customers and distributors.
