About the role

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing within their assigned service line, while also supporting the broader sales and marketing efforts of the organization. This role serves as the key liaison between customers and the company, contributing to the management team by developing growth programs, identifying new technologies and service lines, and fostering collaboration across the region. The position focuses on improving client satisfaction, engaging in stewardship meetings, and establishing processes to develop future sales and business development managers.

The primary goal is to create and close new business opportunities within the automotive, aerospace, and heavy industrial vertical markets throughout the U.S., with a focus on Tier 1 suppliers to OEM manufacturers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead revenue growth within the automotive, aerospace, and heavy industrial vertical markets across the U.S.
  • Manage and execute all selling and growth objectives, ensuring alignment with regional sales and business development strategies.
  • Provide leadership and direction for sales and business development activities.
  • Uphold and promote the company’s values, particularly in ethics, integrity, safety, quality, and corporate responsibility.
  • Ensure clients receive quality services in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions to meet company standards and client needs.
  • Drive growth initiatives, including service line expansions and new client development.
  • Develop new clients and service lines, execute client opportunities, and manage location-specific operating and growth plans.
  • Prepare winning bids and actively manage the sales pipeline.
  • Support client management through major account management (CRM model), develop new opportunities, and address client concerns.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Pulp and Paper, Power Generation, and Automotive industries; experience in heavy industrial casting markets is an asset.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, and business development within a technical service or product organization.
  • Prior experience with organizations focused on large industrial clients and technical marketing.
  • Strong track record working as a business partner to senior management in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated success in technical, solutions-oriented sales to engineering and operating managers in large industrial companies.
  • Experience with sales methodologies for a wide range of customers, from enterprise-level to small and medium businesses.
  • Experience managing CRM or related sales systems.
  • Hands-on leadership in performance-driven work environments.
  • Strong presentation, influencing, and communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time.
  • Technical undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
