Provides Leadership and Directs Team
Leads and directs the activities of the business development team within a specific market area, delivering investment management and risk (insurance) management.
Achieves Production Goals
- Responsible for achieving team production goals as well as individual production goals as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum 2-3 years investment and insurance sales experience required
Skills and Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of investment and insurance products and applicable securities and insurance rules and regulations
- Strong communication and PC skills
- Unblemished compliance record
- Demonstrated team player and high quality service provider
Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements
- FINRA Series 6 & 63 or 66 and State Required Life, Accident and Health, Licenses
- Series 7 and Series 24 preferred
- If not Series 7 licensed, FC will be required to obtain license within 90 days
Tasks Performed
- 35%: Provides direction, training and coaching to assure goals are met and overall development of team's skills and book of business continues.
- 20%: Interviews and profiles customers/prospects to determine investment and insurance needs, recommend appropriate products, and makes appropriate referral to branch or to other members of regional market team.
- 15%: Develops and executes individual business plan to meet sales goals. Monitors client investment performance and makes appropriate recommendations. Maintains minimum assigned level of production consistent with individual or team goals
- 15%: Sets goals for team members and evaluates individual performance. Participates in recruiting and hiring of new team members and takes leadership role in training and development of new team members.
- 10%: Cultivates and fosters proactive relationships with staff of assigned markets with regular meetings to discuss sales ideas, referral opportunities, results of customer meetings, and promotional campaigns.
- 5%: Other duties as required
