As part of Pepsi Beverages United States (PBUS), PepsiCo’s beverage manufacturing, sales, and distribution operating unit in the United States, this position sits within the North America Beverage organization. The Territory Sales Leader leads a team of 8–14 frontline sales representatives, frontline sales leaders, and Merchandising Team Leads to drive superior marketplace execution and customer service while cultivating relationships and managing multiple priorities for positive business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Drive volume, revenue, and market-share growth in a designated territory.
  • Manage sales and merchandising hours, overtime, and labor budget.
  • Lead collaboration and team effectiveness within the customer pod structure.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop a team of employees to increase sales, daily productivity, and business performance.
  • Conduct “work-withs/route rides” with employees to develop selling and customer-service skills.
  • Proactively work with customers to understand business needs and build strong relationships.
  • Maintain process improvement to enhance productivity of PepsiCo’s selling and delivery model.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure orders are submitted, delivered, and merchandised according to plan.
  • Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance.
  • Hold regular weekly meetings with cross-functional teams, including Sales Representatives and Merchandising Team Leads, to discuss sales and territory strategies.
  • Set productivity and service targets and ensure proper resource allocation between accounts.
  • Oversee the Merchandising Function, including ensuring proper coverage of full-time Merchandisers in their designated account territories.
  • Assist Sales Representatives or Merchandising Team Leads with ad hoc tasks, including coaching, intermittent daily routing, and/or customer onboarding.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years managing frontline employees or demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Consumer packaged goods experience in a direct store delivery environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license; safe driving record strongly preferred.
  • At least 1 year of sales experience.
  • Indefinite right to work in the United States.

Helpful experience: 2 years in consumer packaged goods direct-store-delivery (preferred), customer relationship management (preferred), or previous people-management experience.

Pay

Expected compensation range: $73,400 – $122,850. Actual starting salary will be based on location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education. Bonus target is 15% of annual salary, paid quarterly based on performance and eligibility.
