About the Role

Benjamin Moore & Co is seeking an ambitious and self-motivated individual to join our sales team in the San Francisco market. You will be accountable for delivering sustainable and profitable sales and market share growth in your territory, leading the implementation of product placement, programs, and services within assigned stores. The ideal candidate will be based within the territory and close to one of our key retailers.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on customer satisfaction by demonstrating teamwork and empowerment, solving problems through a consultative approach, and providing a highly responsive level of service.
  • Establish yourself as the "go-to" expert by combining technical knowledge, business acumen, and a thoughtful customer approach.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships for new and existing accounts to increase profitability and sales growth for Benjamin Moore and our partners.
  • Drive, orchestrate, and close opportunities with key partners to produce transformative business outcomes.
  • Leverage professional solution-based selling skills to meet customer needs using provided tools.
  • Seek and qualify new business in accordance with Company account stratification goals.
  • Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet demands.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, listening, and public speaking skills with the ability to negotiate and persuade effectively.
  • A people-person who thrives in interpersonal settings and can forge strong, positive business relationships.
  • High degree of self-discipline, organization, and time management; ability to meet deadlines is imperative.
  • Self-motivated with an innate sense of accountability and comfort with autonomy.
  • Demonstrated teamwork ability and persistence when dealing with customers and internal departments.
  • Ability to drive outcomes, meet expectations, and give/take feedback.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and friendly demeanor with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze situations and identify opportunities for success.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus.
  • 1+ years of field sales experience; college degree preferred (previous paint experience not required).
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel daily and overnight within the region, and work evenings/weekends when necessary.
  • Reside within the San Francisco territory.
