Working Location: Nebraska, Omaha. Field-based role with daily travel within the territory and occasional regional travel requiring overnight stays. Flexible hours may include evenings and weekends.

About the role

This role focuses on driving product sales and profit for capital and device portfolios, increasing market share within a designated territory while complying with Olympus’ policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned business lines, objectives, pricing strategies, and sales techniques for single-use products.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, clinicians, researchers, and decision-makers in assigned accounts, including onsite support during surgical procedures.
  • Achieve sales quotas for products within assigned business areas.
  • Enter and maintain accurate daily (minimum 3x/week) activity records in Salesforce.com; deliver timely reporting to support territory business plans.
  • Conduct in-service training programs at customer accounts (hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and clinics).
  • Build rapport with personnel and healthcare professionals at target teaching hospitals.
  • Drive sales under regional or national buying group contracts.
  • Maintain written and oral communication with field and internal sales management regarding territory strategic plans, sales calls, market potential, and pricing or promotional strategies.
  • Assist with major national conventions and local/regional meetings as directed by sales management.
  • Collaborate with peers from other business units to maximize Olympus’s influence in the territory.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of prior sales or marketing experience required.
  • Ability to travel daily within the territory and occasionally outside the territory within the region, including overnight stays.
  • Adherence to all customer vendor credentialing requirements when visiting medical facilities.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent sales/business experience.
  • Prior sales or marketing experience with medical devices or in a hospital/medical environment highly preferred.
  • Specialized knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and related diseases where Olympus products are utilized is preferred.
  • Proven track record of sales success.
