As a Territory Manager within our Marketing Function in Oneonta, NY, you will be a self-starter responsible for growing brands by building strong, lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone passionate about taking on responsibility, holding themselves accountable, and making a significant impact.
Responsibilities
- Achieve commercial sales and growth objectives within your territory to support Division, Region, and Company goals.
- Develop a local strategy and business plan for meeting individualized territory objectives, including identifying, analyzing, prioritizing, and targeting existing and potential retail outlets for product sales opportunities.
- Create strategies for product and Point of Sale (POS) material placements to optimize sales and market visibility.
- Achieve customer/consumer engagement skills certification and consistently demonstrate mastery within the Territory.
- Build client willingness and capability to collaborate with the Company on key business fundamentals to accelerate the transformation of the tobacco industry and increase market share.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with local chains and distributors to increase sales and promote Reynolds brands through personal correspondence, retail visits, and presentations.
- Sell and execute the 5Ps of presence, pricing, promotion, product, and personal selling to customers and adult nicotine consumers.
- Analyze the territory to identify and negotiate contracts with new retail customer opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Division Manager on territory-specific customer and sales planning, company product initiatives, and improving market share.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate with and engage retail customers and adult nicotine consumers in person.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to climb and work from heights ranging from 9 to 12 feet.
- Ability to access and work in limited and confined spaces.
- Ability to visually inspect and manipulate merchandise and advertising displays.
- Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience preferred.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Committed to continuous personal and professional growth.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
Skills
The following experience is beneficial:
- Previous experience in a marketing-focused role, preferably in sales, field market, or business-to-business.
- Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in a sales representative or territory manager role.
- Geographic mobility to enable obtaining critical experiences for career growth; willingness to relocate across the United States for future advancement opportunities.
Pay
Annual Salary: $68,700
Bonus Target: 20%

Schedule
- Paid Leave:
- Sick and Personal Time (exempt employees may be excused with pay for brief absences; non-exempt employees receive up to 6 days).
- Vacation (15 days for levels below Senior Director, pro-rated during the first year; 25 days for Senior Directors and Officers, pro-rated during the first year).
