Territory Manager - North Dakota
Drive sales growth and sustained demand for Siding and Residential Roofing products across an assigned territory. Develop strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, specifiers, owners, and distribution partners to position our products as the preferred choice in the market. Execute territory strategies that support business objectives, increase market penetration, and improve sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales growth objectives and meet or exceed established performance and incentive goals.
- Develop and implement territory sales plans and strategies to maximize market opportunities and customer engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, specifiers, owners, homebuilders, and distribution partners.
- Generate "pull-through" demand by influencing project stakeholders and partnering with distributors to convert opportunities into sales.
- Promote and sell roofing and/or siding product solutions within residential and commercial construction markets.
- Increase specifications of value-added products and improve project closing rates.
- Identify, monitor, and track construction projects from planning through bid stages to maximize sales opportunities.
- Conduct product presentations, educational programs, customer meetings, and sales promotions with industry professionals and trade partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer solutions and support territory growth initiatives.
- Maintain accurate sales activity and project information using company-provided tools and systems.
This is a field-based role with approximately 75% travel throughout the assigned territory.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of professional sales experience, including customer relationship management, sales presentations, and successful sales closing.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and develop strong customer relationships through networking and consultative selling.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage competitive market conditions and effectively influence multiple customer audiences.
- Knowledge of commercial and residential construction practices preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory (approximately 75%).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and sales leadership.
- Must live in territory.
Pay
The national pay range for this position is $72,000 to $108,000 per year. Base pay may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a targeted amount of 45% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $104,400 to $156,600.
